FRIDAY SPOTLIGHT: STRIDE TO SAVE LIVES AND OTHER HAPPENINGS
STRIDE to SAVE Lives is taking place tomorrow, September 24th. Registration is at 9am, and the walk/run begins at 11am outside Sheldon Hall. Register beforehand by using this link:Link to register This year is the 6th annual walk to raise awareness for suicide prevention. There will be guest speakers and a reading of lives lost to suicide to honor loved ones with their struggle. This is a very powerful event and will likely prompt reflection and remembrance for many. Bring friends and family and walk to encourage help seeking for those struggling with suicidal ideation.
PorchFest is also talking place on Sunday, September 25th in Oswego. This event takes place from 1pm to 5pm and includes over 30 musicians and two theatrical performances. All are FREE. Need more information on this event, look at their website :Oswego Porchfest
If music isn’t your thing and you want to see some furry friends, choose to do the Dogtoberfest taking place at Fallbrook Recreation Center that same day, Sunday, September 25th. Dogtoberfest is a walk/run with your canine friend. The registration begins at 10am, with the walk starting at 11am, and the run at 12pm. This event supports the Oswego County Humane Society.
