HUMP DAY : SLEEP AND STRESS, THE FUTURE OF SUCCESS
You have probably heard of The Huffington Post and Arianna Huffington. Both are multifaceted entities, powerful and informed in today’s fast paced society. And, as she is hot off of the heels of her new book, Huffington discusses the benefits of sleep in a new interview with BostInno.
In the interview, Huffington notes how on most nights she will get close to eight hours of sleep. She discusses society’s current “emphasis on having, and not on being,” and how a good night’s sleep improves everything from mental to physical health.
In addition to her theoretical insights, Huffington discusses The Huffington Post and it’s beliefs that work should be left at work.
On decreasing stress: “Huffington recommends starting the day with five minutes of meditation and some form of movement—whether it’s yoga, cycling at the gym or going for a brisk walk. One thing she advises against, though, is allowing yourself to become hyper-dependent on technologies, obsessed with staying ever-connected.”
