HUMP DAY: STAY SUN SAFE
This is the moment we have all been waiting for. It is officially nearing the end of the semester. Summer plans are starting to be made with the ultimate goal of having fun and spending as much time as we can outside. Wanting to enjoy the beautiful weather and being outside for the longest time sounds super fun and productive. However, do you know what is even more fun? Being sun safe. The link below will take you to Stacy Simon’s article about how to protect your skin from the sun. Simon shares four steps on how to stay sun safe. Tips include wearing a wide-brimmed hat to protect as much skin as possible and to limit direct exposure to the sun between the hours UV ray are the strongest (10 a.m. and 4 p.m.). She also goes into great detail about sunscreen use and how to pick the right one. Simon states that we must choose a sunscreen with “broad spectrum” protection and a sun protection factor (SPF) 30 or higher. In addition, she explains the difference between “water resistant” and “waterproof” sunscreen. Just click the link bellow and make your summer a sun safe summer!
