TUESDAY RECIPE: GREEK PASTA SALAD, OPA!
It’s a new semester at school and you want to try something new. Don’t be afraid to experiment with foods from different cultures that you’ve never had before. Even though you may not be able to pronounce some of the names they may be delicious! If you want to mimic a simple Greek pasta salad follow these instructions.
2 oz. (about 1 cup) pasta shells
2 tablespoons Italian dressing
¼ cup feta cheese crumbles
1/8 cup sliced California olives
5 halved cherry tomatoes
Leftover chicken breast, cubed (optional)
- Cook the pasta according to package directions.
- Drain and rinse with cold water to cool the pasta.
- Mix in the Italian dressing, feta cheese, chopped olives, tomatoes and chicken and put in a portable container.
