TUESDAY RECIPE: MAC N’ CHEESE CUP MADE BETTER

Going off of last week’s pre-prepared meals, we decided we would try to make everyone’s favorite mac and cheese cups healthier. While alone these delicious entities can feel overwhelmingly bad for you, adding a combination of steamed vegetables and a bed of lettuce can turn this not so filling meal into an entire dinner!

Key: DH – Available in the Dining Hall

Ingredients

1 package of a Macaroni and Cheese Cup

An Assortment of Fresh Vegetables (DH)

Lettuce (DH)

2 Cups Water (DH)

Franks Red Hot (optional)

Directions:

  1. Steam vegetables in water in the microwave by placing the vegetables and a little water in a container and microwaving it. The more you use, the healthier it is!
  2. Cook the cup of macaroni and cheese according to the package directions.
  3. On a plate, lay a bed of lettuce.
  4. Lay mac and cheese and steamed vegetables onto lettuce. Sprinkle on some Franks Red Hot.
  5. EAT
