TUESDAY RECIPE: PREWORK OUT SNACK

 For those who love to work out in the morning or before a meal, it is important that you keep in mind that working out on an empty stomach can lead to many healthy problems. For one, it’s possible to faint in the middle of your exercise. A quick fix is the multiple snacks you could prepare using the products the dining hall offers, such as Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is a healthy combination of nutrients that can be mixed with various ingredients, yet still taste amazing. One of my favorites (and one of the healthier options out there is an English Muffin Sandwich).

DH= Ingredient can be found in any dining hall

Ingredients:

Greek Yogurt (DH)

English Muffin (DH)

Blueberries (DH)

Cinnamon (DH)

Organic Trail Mix (DH)

Directions:

  1. You’ll want to start by taking the English muffin and cutting it in half.
  2. Spread the Greek yogurt as if it was cream cheese onto the English muffin (you could also use a whole wheat toast).
  3. Place the blueberries on top of the Greek yogurt
  4. Add a pinch of cinnamon and a little bit of the granola and voila.

Didn’t take long to read right? Well it doesn’t take long to do either.
